A sweet in-home family and newborn session :: Charleston, SC

My time with the Quirk family just flew by - it was so much fun, such a joy to get to hang with this gorgeous family of six for an hours, on a slow, sunny Sunday afternoon here on James Island. Although, given that they’d just recently welcomed their newest member - sweet baby Virginia - to the family only a couple of weeks before, I’m guessing the day didn't feel quite as slow to them. They laughed and joked about the chaos of wrangling all of their sweet little girls for a photo shoot, and it reminded me of those foggy early days when mine were so little as well.

Their girls were so lovely, each asking great questions about my camera and proclaiming that they’d like to be photographers as well. It’s sessions like this that remind me just how much I love this work, and how joyful it is to get to step into peoples’ small, intimate worlds, capturing them the best I can to freeze time for just a pretty little while.
